What’s your wedding style?

Here’s a choice that can be very helpful along the process of planning a wedding. Once you’ve established that you’ll have your wedding in Portugal, you’ll need some kind of compass to guide you through all the subsequent decisions.

It’s fairly natural that you’ll associate our sunny country with beach weddings. Yes, they’re quite something in the warm sands of Algarve, but you should also check out the beautiful and unspoiled beaches of Alentejo. And have you heard about Garrett MacNamara surfing the world’s biggest wave in Nazaré? Now, there’s a beach wedding for a surfing couple!

Our coastline is very appealing in its diversity, that’s a fact: but, what about our vineyards? Portugal is worldly known for the quality of the national wines, and we have beautiful landscapes to match every awarded bottle: from the perfect Douro river shores to the rustic green wine region, from the Dão river flavors to the Alentejo richness, from the sweet Madeira Wine to the rare and astonishing volcanic vineyards in Pico Island, Azores. Cheers!

And for all you romantic people, sighing for a romantic or a traditional wedding, bursting with flowers and delicacy, you’ll be absolutely blown away by our churches and our ancient castles, palaces and monasteries, a perfect fit for a perfect fairy tale.

The imagination is the limit, anyhow. Lisbon and Oporto have the trendiest spots for casual, modern weddings, with the best djs and the most delicious cocktails you could wish for; but you can go vintage or boho and enjoy the magnificent gardens and astonishing rooms of some of our secular mansions turned into wedding venues.

Be yourself, be yourselves, make it all about you two and the people you love the most. Here, you’ll find the right ingredients to make it work.
