Katerina + André, by Maria Imaginária

Hello everyone!

As September keeps on being busy, we bring you another beautiful wedding shot during this year. Today is all about Katerina + André: she’s Greek and he is Portuguese and they are both professional poker players. They met at a professional tournament and during vacation on the beautiful island Zakythos, André proposed.

They chose magical Sintra for the wedding, dressing up at the magnificent Palácio de Seteais, getting married in São Pedro Church and having the reception at Casa dos Penedos, a former private house.

The rest was history, and nothing similar to a fat greek wedding, oh no no no… it was a day to celebrate and connect: two lovers, two families, two cultures got together and share their customs, traditions and love… and that is always beautiful!

And this is our last wedding before we go for a swim, drinks and lazy days in the sun!

For the month of August we leave you with short and fresh inspiration posts, as we stop for a well deserved refresh of body and mind.

Enjoy this sweet film from Vanessa & Ivo Handmade Films, as our token of “goodbye, see you soon!“

Guava glamour: Portugal at your feet

Portuguese shoe brand Guava just launched their new collection – Diamonds – and the colors, together with their signature geometric heel, are fresh and inspiring. Contemporary luxury at your feet in romantic Ivory Nude or Arctic Mint, but why not bold Indigo Blue (for your something blue naturally!) or Mela Green (perfect for the Irish brides out there!)?

Each pair of shoes is designed with love by the award-winning designer Inês Caleiro and handmade with expertise by master Portuguese shoemakers. The result? A unique and exclusive pair of shoes that will have you dancing all night long!

You will literally have Portugal at your feet on your wedding day!

Sandrine + Alex: happiness on a rainy day? Oh yeah!

Hi everyone! As we celebrate the warmer days of June (yes, even as a Mediterranean country, we also miss the summer!), a little recap of a rainy day – which can also be a beautiful day!

Check the video of duo Vanessa & Ivo, who shot the wedding of Sandrine + Alex, on a sombre and foggy day of May: love is enough to brighten the darkest sky!

“Sandrine + Alex captured our hearts instantly: on the first contact, they sent us a picture of them and their cute cat, called Blue, their “something blue”.”

The morning of the wedding started slow and sweet, and a thick fog descended from a very grey sky. You would think that this would be a tragedy in a wedding event, but not at all, love trully wins and is contagious, just delight yourself with the beautiful smiles and the happiness made palpable…

Outdoor oasis

If you’ve ever been to Portugal, you know that it’s basically an outdoor oasis with everything from stunning beaches to rolling countryside and magnificent mountains… and the truth is that any one of these scenarios is perfect for an outdoor wedding. That’s exactly what M+T thought when they started organizing their very own big day, a day that played out beautifully on a lovely summer day just outside of Lisbon, with a stunning stage – Quinta das Torres, in Azeitão – to host it all. Perfect harmony between Mother Nature, love and life…

Pure magic we tell you… captured brilliantly by Matilde Alçada Photography.

Nancy+Mike: love goes global!

Hello everyone, ready to end this busy week?

Me too, so let’s wrap up with this gorgeous wedding, shot by the portuguese duo FullCut.

Nancy is a Portuguese girl living in Canada, and Mike is English.

As so many times with couples living abroad, going back home, to your roots, is what your destination wedding is all about. If you add all your friends coming from allover the world (12 different countries, actually!), you end up having the most incredible party, with that mix of accents and cultures…

So, let’s have some fun and join this cute couple and their party at Quinta de São Gens, near Ourém, right in the middle of our beautiful country.

Enjoy and have a great weekend!

Poof, it’s magic! by Jenny Makeup Land

There are so many magical details that make up a truly magical wedding day and Evelyn’s began calmly, to the sound of Motown, while her hair and makeup were expertly done by Jenny Makeup Land. Classic chic was the look chosen and with her hair up, there was the perfect excuse to go a little bolder on the eyes and on the lips… a gorgeous bride emerged and not even the rain that fell over Northern Portugal that day could dampen the magic that took place at the stunning Pousada de Amares, as Evelyn+Rex said “I do”!

Her smile says it all…

The secret garden, by Inspirarte

There’s something really special about secret gardens isn’t there? A hidden gem in Northern Portugal, the Solar da Casa Grande do Fontão, in Ponte de Lima, seems straight out of a fairy tale, with its romantic scenery, covered and enhanced by the colors and fragrances of tulips, ranunculus, eucalyptus and daisies, only outdone by the magnificent bouquets and flower crowns worn by the garden’s guests.

Three beautiful nymphs wearing long pearl dresses stroll through the garden, contemplating but also being contemplated, lovely as they are. The table is set for afternoon tea in soft shades of blue and blush pink, decorated with lilium, freesia, veronica, eustoma, limonium, jasmine, eryngium, ammi, brunia and carnation. Won’t you join us?

Doesn’t this make you want to throw open all the windows and have a magnificent garden party?
