And this is our last wedding before we go for a swim, drinks and lazy days in the sun!
For the month of August we leave you with short and fresh inspiration posts, as we stop for a well deserved refresh of body and mind.
Enjoy this sweet film from Vanessa & Ivo Handmade Films, as our token of “goodbye, see you soon!“
Today we bring you the intimate wedding of Yulia + Marcos, a Russian Portuguese love affair.
The ceremony took place at the beautiful and romantic Jardim Botânico do Porto (i’m in love with all botanical gardens, always such gorgeous places!) and the reception was held at Camafeu, an intimate and cute little restaurant, in the heart of Oporto.
Beautiful video from duo Fullcut.
Have a great weekend!
Cristina and Francisco Macedo, from Aqueduto Eventos, present their work:
“We are story tellers. We tell original and imaginary stories. For each event we propose, we transform and reinvent out work, we create new challenges that lead us away from the path most travelled so we can rejoice with the results. We are taken by special moments and we make them our special moments too so that they can be truly memorable for those that choose to work with us”.

Jennifer Miranda is passionate about beauty in general and fascinated by female beauty, in particular, in all its forms and expressions. Her work is described as a balance between classic and modern, because true beauty comes from inside every woman, and Jenny Makeup Land just highlights it, making every bride a more beautiful and powerful version of herself.
The goal is to create an impeccable and timeless look, resistant to the day’s emotions, kisses and hugs and, in order to do this, Jenny Makeup Land reinforced the range of her services to take care of you (and your fiancé!) literally, from head to toe.

If you’ve never tried a brigadeiro, you have no idea what you’re missing! A typical Brazilian delicacy, this sweet concoction is made with condensed milk, butter, chocolate and covered with sprinkles, but can be prepared with a wide range of unique flavors.
Brigadão! brings this sweet temptation right to your wedding reception: bite-sized perfection for cocktail hour, a touch of originality for the dessert table, in tiny boxes they make a delicious wedding favor for guests and in the small jar version they can even be served as dessert.
How sweet is this?
Since they’ve met, Filipa + Rui, are better together. The days are better if they’re together, the celebrations are better if they’re together. They’re joy of togetherness is truly revealed in this wonderful and magic video by Vanessa & Ivo.

João Mascarenhas, the eye behind the camera at Mar a Sul Photography, has kindly shared with us his magnificent editorial photographs from his participation on the Carmencita Film Lab Meets Porto event. In this event, Carmencita Film Lab and Brancoprata, pieced together a group of portuguese and international photographers, in Porto, aiming to show each one of them how the use of film is an advantage for photographers and how they can, nowadays, photograph weddings the old school way. After viewing this editorial one can only conclude that it’s true, the result is superb.

Oporto is Portugal’s second largest city after the capital Lisbon. Lately it has been receiving a lot of media attention for its unique beauty and its anonymity. Described as a, still, well kept secret and a not yet too much crowded city in Europe.
Located on the banks of the River Douro, Oporto is one of Europe’s oldest cities and home of the world known Port Wine. It has breathtaking views and tons of history lying around. In Oporto two worlds collide: modern and historic. Well, it’s not exactly a collision, but more of a merge, actually. Here is where the Douro river finds the sea, and you can have a taste of Port Wine admiring this exact view.
Oporto is a very traditional and historic city, on one hand: historic landmarks like tiled covered baroque churches, charming local markets like Bolhão, typical neighborhoods like Ribeira or vintage shops like Magestique Café or Livraria Lello; and on the other hand it has a very vibrant community of modern art galleries and some modern architecture landmarks like Casa da Música by Rem Koolhaas.
Its visionary mayor is also raising attention as he is determined to stop gentrification from destroying his city by implanting a well thought out strategy to renovate the historic center buildings and create social housing to ensure it keeps its stylishness and originality.
Be prepared to fall in love with this city immediately after watching and reading the set of images, articles and videos. Oporto is more than an excellent choice for a destination wedding.
